Robert Polner (pictured below) and Michael Tubridy will speak about “An Irish Passion for Justice” on this Friday, Mar. 28, 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m, at the Sunnyside branch of the Queens Public Library, 43-06 Greenpoint Ave., Long Island City, NY (Tel: 718-784-3033). The talk is an outgrowth of their biography of the Irish-born New York lawyer, politician, and activist Paul O’Dwyer, who fought in the courts and beyond for the rights of the downtrodden and the marginalized throughout the 20th century. Copies of the book will be available for signing and purchase ($30).
