McClenaghan took gold with a score of 15.533 (he got 15.2000 in qualifying), pushing Kazakhstan’s Nariman Kurbanov (15.434) into second place and the USA's Stephen Nedoroscik into third (15.300).
The 25-year-old County Down-born gymnast already has two World, one Commonwealth and three European titles to his name.
