It's been a long voyage from planning to completion but the USS Patrick Gallagher will be christened tomorrow, Saturday, July 27.
The Arleigh Burke Class destroyer is named after Vietnam war hero Patrick "Bob" Gallagher from County Mayo.
Saturday's naming of the ship will take place at Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine and it will be possible to watch the ceremony online at https://vimeo.com/event/4279175 starting at 11 a.m. east coast time.
