·    Calliope presents Moose Lodge Revival, part of the Summer Concert Series at Schenley Plaza @ 7:00 pm, PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PITTSBURGH PARKS CONSERVANCY.   No tickets are necessary for these shows, but we will be collecting tips for the artists. Suggested tip is $15, but any amount is welcome.  
 
A new traditional bluegrass band based around Pittsburgh, Moose Lodge Revival is carrying forward and promoting bluegrass music through exploring its various sub-genres and sharing it with you live. Bringing people together to recognize, celebrate, and participate in this important American art form is a main focus for this group of five experienced area musicians.  The band consists of Jimmy Hall – mandolin, banjo, vocals; Ryan Meals – guitar, vocals; Adam Petterson – guitar; Jay Gould – fiddle, mandolin; and Trish Imbrogno – bass, vocals.

·  11th Annual Music for MS Concert, performing at the Corbriwood Stage in Gibsonia PA.  from 4pm to 9pm – Entertainment includes: November Blue, a 6-piece band combining modern sounds with a nostalgic feel + harmonies.  There is Cue Ball combining Blues / Rock with Irish and Celtic.  Tullycavy - The group focuses on folk, alternative country and Celtic music while adding in originals. The name is derived from the town in Northern Ireland of the same name.  The 729ers is a 3-person alternative folk group from Southwestern PA. The trio includes guitar, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica, percussion, and vocals. They play a variety of styles including traditional, Irish, bluegrass, Appalachian, pop, originals, and more.  John Vento is best known as the front man for the high-energy, rhythm and blues group, The Nied’s Hotel Bandand (www.niedshotelband.com).  All proceeds benefit the Pennsylvania Keystone Chapter of the National MS Society

Fall 2024

·   The 150th Anniversary of the Martin Noone – William R. Murphy AOH Division 21is quickly approaching and it marks 150 years of consecutive service to the Irish / American Irish people and organization. This is the oldest and longest serving AOH in Pennsylvania. There will be a program to commemorate this event – watch for it.
