McWilliams is guest speaker at Villanova GFA anniversary event

The Irish-American Business Chamber & Network will commemorate on this Thursday the signing of the Good Friday Agreement with a special hybrid event featuring Professor Monica McWilliams at its Women in Leadership Luncheon.

McWilliams was the co-founder of the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition political party and was elected to a seat at the Multi-Party Peace Negotiations, which led to the Belfast (Good Friday) Peace Agreement in 1998. She served as a member of the Northern Ireland Legislative Assembly from 1998-2003 and the Northern Ireland Forum for Dialogue and Understanding from 1996-1998.

 “Women As Peacemakers: The Good Friday Agreement, 25 Years On” is co-hosted by Villanova University Center for Irish Studies and Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership.
