The much-fancied Donegal only needed a draw against Mayo on Saturday in Castlebar, but instead the home side prevailed 1-14 to 1-10 to book a semifinal date with champions Dublin next Saturday at Croke Park. The Dubs are aiming for an unprecedented five consecutive championship titles, but Mayo players like Aidan O'Shea, pictured, and their fans hope their never-say-die attitude will carry them all the way to a first Sam Maguire since 1951.
