March will be a big month for the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin. On the 1st, tomorrow, their album “Perpetual Twilight” will be released, and then in celebration of that on Friday night, March 15, they will will perform under the direction of Desmond Earley at Zankel Hall in Manhattan’s Carnegie Hall (7:30 p.m.). This front-rank collegiate choral ensemble, which had a viral hit with “Invisible Stars” reaching 10 million sets of eyes, will for the Carnegie program showcase world-premiere compositions as well as new arrangements of “Danny Boy,” “My Love is like a Red Red Rose,” and “Mo Ghille Mear (My Gallant Hero).” The choir will be joined by some of Ireland’s leading instrumentalists playing, for instance the bodhrán and harp.
