Irish American Democrats to honor Neal

The Irish American Democrats lobby group will honor Congressman Richard Neal, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, and chair of the congressional Friends of Ireland, with its Lifetime Achievement Award on Wednesday, October 16. The award is being presented to Neal for being an “Outstanding U.S. Legislator,” a “Dedicated Champion of Massachusetts,” and for being an “Unwavering Supporter of the Good Friday Agreement.” The presentation, which, according to the IAD, will be made by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, will take place 6.30 to 8.30 p.m. at the Laborers’ International Union of North America headquarters in Washington, D.C.
