A season of storms

Ireland was struck by Storm Ali this week and there were two reported fatalities including that of a Swiss tourist whose caravan was blown over a seaside cliff in County Galway. The storm was strong enough to force a day’s postponement of the National Ploughing Championship in County Offaly, the first time that has ever happened, and the photo shows damage at the site. Following on Ali, Storm Bronagh is now looming over the horizon and there is yet another storm in the Atlantic to make it an unwelcome threesome. RollingNews.ie photo.
