Team Ireland's management team are hoping for a good turnout this Saturday morning when it kicks off its NYC Copa campaign on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at Corona Park, in Queens' Flushing Meadows. (For details of the three games involving Ireland turn to Jay Mwamba's piece on the back page.) "It's a very tough group, and we are not favorites," said manager Kevin Grogan.
So far, though, the team has gotten a good deal of practical support from: The Mean Fiddler, Bar 43, Legends, O'Hurleys and The Red Lion.
"They all are great bars and have been instrumental in funding our Irish team," Grogan said.
