Hardwick goes 2-0 after 3rd-round TKO

Heavyweight Thomas Hardwick made it two wins out of two starts in the pro ranks with a third round TKO over Rodell Bolar at the Resorts Casino in Atlantic City last Saturday.

It was the former New York Daily News Golden Gloves champion's second straight victory via stoppage since his pro debut against Derek Walker in Manhattan last May. Hardwick, a 26 year-old who fights out of Yonkers, New York, scored a third round TKO in that match as well.

While Hardwick improved to 2-0 with two KOs, Bolar, a journeyman out of Akron, Ohio, tapped to ease the Dubliner's transition into prizefighting, now remains winless in four scraps.

Among those that watched Hardwick triumph at the Resorts Casino was former heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield.
