Good news for Irish cricket. We could yet make it to the 2015 Cricket World Cup following a u-turn by the International Cricket Council. The ICC met in Hong Kong last week and recommended in favor of a qualification process for the 2015 finals. Earlier this year the ICC had decided to exclude Ireland and their fellow associate members from the competition, and proposed to restrict the 2015 World Cup to just ten full-member nations. Ireland has done well at the last two World Cup tournaments; we had an historic win over England in Bangalore earlier this year and four years ago we beat Pakistan in Jamaica. -- Sean Creedon
