The Aisling Irish Community Center in Yonkers wants you to don your running shoes, but walkers will do too. The center is holding its annual 5K run and walk to raise funds on Sunday, May 22 with an off at 9.30 a.m. "Every dollar helps to keep the Aisling Center and the Irish Volunteers for the Homeless on its feet, so sign up today and put your own feet into gear for a very worthy cause," said the center in a statement. The center can be contacted at (914)237-5121 or participants can stop by to get a sponsorship card. The registration desk on the day will be located at the front entrance to the Rambling House. Participants are asked to check in between 9 and 9.30 a.m. The walk will start at 9.20 a.m. sharp from the Rambling House, 4292 Katonah Avenue. All participants qualify for a free t-shirt while other prizes will be on offer.
