Rich Mikutsky is the Director/State Fire Marshal of the N.J. Division of Fire Safety. The Division of Fire Safety is the State’s central fire service agency responsible for the development and enforcement of the Uniform Fire Code and implementing public education and firefighter training programs. Responsible, as the lead State Fire Official, for enforcing State fire codes; investigating fire-related injuries, deaths, and crimes; directing fire prevention effort; and coordinating fire suppression efforts statewide.
