Brian Mcgeever is a Pro-board Industrial Firefighter for Con Edison and Team Leader for Con Edison's Biological Chemical Weapons Response Team.
Brian has thirty seven years of experience in responding to emergencies. Being part of the initial 9/11 response profoundly changed his perception toward the practice of emergency preparedness and response. After this experience, he helped create and manage a group to deal with the threats of our current world. As the Leader of a Biological Chemical Weapons Response Team he is well versed in what it takes to properly react to high stress, chaotic situations.
Brian shares his knowledge as a visiting instructor at FDNY training Academy, Westchester County DES, NYPD Academy & Westchester Police Academy. He is a Pro-board Certified Industrial Fire Fighter, a Hazardous Material Technician, and an Incident Commander. Recently he was sworn in by FDNY Commissioner Nigro as an Honorary Battalion Chief for his many years of dedication to teaching and practice of the proper emergency preparedness and response.
