Robert Kearns
Where do you live? Mahopac NY (Putnam County).
Current company and position? I currently serve as the town councilman for the town of Carmel, the largest town in Putnam County. I also work as a senior operations manager at Pierotti Corp.
First job and what it taught me? My first job I worked as a dockhand on beautiful Lake Geroge during the summer while I was in High School. It taught me very valuable lessons that I still use today. One was showing up early and always try to make one of your colleague's day easier by giving them a hand when needed. It also taught me how to be patient and the very crucial skill of customer service.
How do you embrace your Irish heritage? I embrace my Irish heritage by asking my relatives about their history. Many of my family members still live in Ireland and they keep us up to date. I also am a proud member of the friends of saint Patrick.
Something people would be surprised to know about me... I am a proud decorated veteran with time spent overseas in the middle east and Africa, I am the youngest elected official in the history of Carmel all while raising three young children, coaching football and serving as the vice commander of the Mahopac VFW. I have mastered the art of time management.
