Current company and position? Owner of The Dubliner; The Cottage Bar and McGonagle's Pub.
First job and what it taught me? Our family grocery store in Donegal. Taught me customer service.
How do you embrace your Irish heritage? I live and breathe it every day in my pubs. We want to change people’s perceptions of Irish pubs.
Something people would be surprised to know about me... I was a DJ for around 15 years.
Biography: Oran grew up in Moville Co Donegal. Son of Mary and Tony McGonagle. Moved to Boston after graduating university in 2008. Worked in various bars before becoming Director of operations for East Coast Tavern Group. After 3 years had his first pub The Cottage, that was then followed by Boston’s No 1 Irish Pub The Dubliner. He recently purchased his new Pub called McGonagles in Dorchester which opened December 2024.
