Current company and position? Lieutenant with Jarrell Fire Rescue Chief Warrant Officer 2 with the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
First job and what it taught me? Farm hand on a horse boarding farm. This job taught me responsibilities and gave me a work ethic. I also learned how good it can feel to accomplish hard work.
How do you embrace your Irish heritage? I love Irish history and to pay attention to Irish politics. We celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and any other Irish holiday. And just generally being proud to be Irish American. Also, I'm an active member with the Ancient Order of the Hibernians.
Something people would be surprised to know about me... I have lived in seven states - Vermont, Texas, California, North Carolina, New York, Louisiana, and Virginia. I have also lived in three countries- The U.S. Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.
Biography: Mike is into anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, working on cars, and home projects. Mike lives in Austin with his wife Erin, son Declan, and two dogs. He joined the Marine Corps in 2007 serving for nine years active and then switched to the reserves in 2016. After switching Mike started a career in the fire service with Jarrell Fire Rescue. Mike graduated from Austin Community college with an associate in fire protection, and then in 2024 he graduated from Texas A&M Central Texas with a bachelor's in business. Go Texas Rangers!!
