Current company and position? Deputy State Director to U.S. Senator Cory Booker.
First job and what it taught me? My first job was babysitting, which taught me responsibility. My first job after college was in the press office at Newark City Hall, where I learned about how a large city is governed.
How do you embrace your Irish heritage? My father grew up in Ireland, and my grandparents as well as many of my aunts, uncles and cousins live there. My mother is also of Irish descent, so I grew up visiting often and celebrating Irish traditions at home.
Biography: Kaitlin grew up at the Jersey Shore and lived in Skerries, Ireland in seventh and eighth grade. She graduated from Ramapo College of NJ with a degree in political science and began working as a press assistant at the office of then-Mayor Cory Booker. When he was elected to the Senate in 2013, Kaitlin joined his Newark office as a Staff Assistant before serving as a Constituent Advocate and then Projects Specialist. In 2024, she was promoted to his Deputy State Director.
