James Adams

First job and what it taught me? My first job in the industry taught me the value of proper training, taking the time to guide, coach and teach others to accomplish a task at hand. Stepping behind the bar for the first time, I had a trainer who took me under his wing and ensured I understood each aspect of the position. This mindset has been engrained in my work ethic, applying it in every educational opportunity since.

How do you embrace your Irish heritage? Where I come from is very important to me.

Something people would be surprised to know about me... I am the proud father of a beautiful five-year-old girl! If I'm not found spreading the good word of whiskey around the streets of Boston, I'm likely halfway through braiding a head of hair or painting nails - and I couldn't ask for anything more.

Biography: For the past ten years, James has been dedicated to advancing both his own knowledge of spirits and the expertise of others in the hospitality industry.

Previously, he managed beverage programs and opened restaurants across New England, including his most recent role at TD Garden’s exclusive 1928 Club for Season Ticket Members. Until recently, James was proud to represent Bushmills, the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery, sharing its rich history and heritage.
