Where do you live? Stoneham, Massachusetts.
Current company and position? Benchmark Strategies Assistant Vice President, Public Affairs.
First job and what it taught me? My first job was as a martial arts instructor. In addition to the obvious benefits of learning to defend myself, this job taught me many leadership skills including public speaking, teamwork, conflict resolution, and the importance of perseverance.
How do you embrace your Irish heritage? I embrace my Irish heritage by trying to be as knowledgeable as possible on my roots, whether that be through engaging in holiday traditions throughout the year, investing time in learning about my family's history, or consuming literature and other works that grow my understanding of my heritage.
Biography: Brian currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Public Affairs at Benchmark Strategies. Prior to his current role, Brian held several roles in both the public sector at the Massachusetts State Legislature and nonprofit sector at the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, all with a bend towards public policy work.
Brian received his Master’s in Public Administration from Northeastern University, a Masters in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire, and his Bachelor’s Degree at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Brian lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts with his wife.
