Liam Caulfield
Place of birth: Buffalo, NY.
What is your profession? Firefighter & musician.
How do you celebrate your Irishness? I play Irish traditional music with the band, Crikwater…playing music from both the dance tune tradition as well as the folk song/ballad tradition…telling the story of the Irish experience through music.
Name a hero you admire and why? Two heroes… 1. My father, TE Caulfield, for his guidance, love, and instilling me with a love for the City of Buffalo and a passion for Irish culture. 2. My step-father, Bill Fulton for his friendship and his unwavering support in all my endeavors. These men exemplify what it means to be a father and husband, and I’m grateful to be blessed with these two role models in my life.
Something people would be surprised to know about me... Since I play Irish folk music, people are surprised to find that I'm a big fan of more extreme styles of music, including but not limited to old school hardcore punk rock, thrash, classic heavy metal, and melodic death metal.
