How do you celebrate your Irishness? Thanks to my grandfather, I have been granted Irish citizenship. I have traveled to Ireland every year for the last ten years.

Something people would be surprised to know about me... My grandfather was born in Inishcuttle, Kilmeena, County Mayo and emigrated to Chicago when he was 13, went on to become an elected public servant and is known as the "Father of the Chicago Flag.", all documented in the independent documentary film, IN SEARCH OF WEEPING JIM, weepingjim.org
Biography: Dennis Kearns is an attorney/advocate for transportation issues before the Texas legislature. Dennis represents BNSF Railway and the Texas Railroad Association. He was President of the Board for Big Bend Conservancy, founding member of the Lone Star Shamrocks, member of his Parish Finance Council, former Board Member of the Austin Diocesan Foundation, member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and is a member of the Central Texas Advisory Council of the Nature Conservancy in Texas. He recently joined the Advisory Board of Hibernian Transmedia NFP and has traveled extensively in Ireland. Dennis is a U.S. Citizen and holds an Irish passport.
