John W. McGowan is an Assemblyman with the NYS Assembly, representing District 97 in Rockland County, where he has lived his entire life. John is also a practicing attorney and partner with the law firm of Bleakley Platt & Schmidt, LLP, with offices located in White Plains and Pearl River, New York, practicing in the area of civil litigation and serving as labor counsel to several local police unions. Prior to seeking public office and working as an attorney in private practice, John served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Rockland County District Attorney's Office.
