Born in Ballyheigue, Co. Kerry, Richie moved to Yonkers in 2008 with a degree in civil engineering. He has worked in the Glazing industry since his arrival and now owns multiple businesses with his wife Aine Dempsey, They have 2 beautiful children Daithi 7 and Aoife 2. Richie has been involved in NY GAA and Lansdowne Bhoys Soccer since 2008; playing and managing in both. Richie is the current Hurling Chairman of New York GAA, Manager of Waterford NY Hurlers and New York County Senior Hurlers, He also coaches multiple underage teams.
