Kevin was born in Buffalo in 1973, and started working the following year at the Buffalo Statler Hotel, apprenticing in the Banquet Department, and the Accounting Office. He traveled to Albany, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit and Ithaca to learn the hospitality trade, and get educated.
In 1981, he agreed to open the Food & Beverage operation in the Airways Hotel with his father... on the condition that it be an Irish-themed music Pub.
The following year he teamed up with Aby Marks and Tom O'Carroll to start the Buffalo Irish Festival, originally at Weimer's Grove in Lancaster.
He fielded the first call from Vincent and Chris O'Neill to bring their talent to
Buffalo, in the form of Waiting for Godot and Being Behan.
Kevin has been escorting annual tours to Ireland for 30+ years (COVID excepted). He has promoted concerts with groups as diverse as Tommy Makem & the Clancy Brothers, the Saw Doctors, Finbar Furey, Mary Black, Paul Brady, Hothouse Flowers, Danny Doyle, Seamus Kennedy and Tom Callahan.
Kevin was part of the group that helped saved the Derry City Football Club from financial ruin.
