Joe Walmsley arrived in San Antonio Texas USA in 2006; sponsored by Waxy O Connors Irish Pub 234 Riverwalk San Antonio 78205.
The owners discovered Joe when he was working as Production Show vocalist before being promoted to Entertainment Director for Imperial Majesty Cruise Line in Fort Lauderdale back in 2002 where their first location is based.
Joe became an instant hit on the San Antonio Riverwalk, building up a huge following from not only local people but business people from all over the USA and various other parts of the world who come to San Antonio for a variety of different business conventions, a huge amount of these people have made Waxy O Connors their regular place to eat, drink and be entertained by Joe Walmsley when they return to San Antonio on business.
In 2007 he released his first album titled 'BELIEVE' recording with various Texas Musicians. All songs on the album written and composed by Joe. In 2013 he recorded a Live Irish album of Standards on Saint Patrick's Day titled LIVE AT WAXY O CONNORS which has become a major part of Waxy O Connors souvenir merchandise.
After the release of this album he was approached by The Irish Harp and Shamrock Society of Texas to perform at The University of Incarnate Word at their regular yearly Irish Music Festival.
