Bennett Burke graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2023 with bachelor's degrees in history and communication studies. Currently, he works for a state agency as a Program Specialist, contributing to a team that manages a statewide workforce development program aimed at assisting unemployment insurance recipients in their job search.

Outside of his professional experiences, he have considerable volunteer experience as a field worker for political campaigns on the local, state, and congressional level. . 

He hopes to pursue postgraduate studies in the future, with his interests including Ireland and its diaspora, sport and sport history, and the militarization of borders in the globalizing world.
