Suffolk Police Emeralds gather to honor Irishman of the Year

Members of the Suffolk County Police Officers Emerald Society gathered at the East Wind of Wading River in Suffolk County, NY on April 10 for their 56th annual St Patrick's Day celebration.

Around 250 friends of Ireland joined the dinner and dance organized to salute Chief of Patrol Gerald Hardy who was honored as Irishman of the Year. 

Donal Hughes received the Thomas Finn Memorial Service Award while outgoing President Nicholas Aspromgos was also recognized for his commendable contributions.
