Award for Alexandra

On March 6, 2025, the Society of Irish American Lawyers (“SOCIAL”) awarded its annual $2,500 scholarship to high school Senior Alexandra Daley of Roosevelt High School in Yonkers.  The award was presented at SOCIAL’s annual Gala Event at The Mansion in White Plains.

Alexandra is the valedictorian of her graduating class at Roosevelt, ranked #1 out of 286 students, and a member of the National Honor Society.  She plays on the varsity volleyball and lacrosse teams and works a part time job.  Alexandra has previously taken part in a Yonkers Police Cadet Program for high school students, in which she received police training in law enforcement fields.  In the fall, Alexandra will attend Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York.

SOCIAL is a bar association founded in 2019 by attorneys and judges in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange Counties interested in promoting Irish traditions and culture among members of the legal community in the 9th Judicial District of New York. It awarded its first scholarship in 2021. SOCIAL’s scholarship is open to high school juniors or seniors of Irish descent who live in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess or Orange Counties.
