Pic of Day: The Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence, Micheál Martin, is pictured in Addis Ababa to begin the Ethiopian part of a four-day visit to the Horn of Africa. This year, Ireland and Ethiopia celebrate thirty years of formal diplomatic relations. The Tánaiste’s first engagement was with President Sahlework Zewde, (pictured). Mr. Martin emphasized the importance that Ireland and the EU place on a stable and peaceful Ethiopia. That country is home to Ireland’s largest overseas development cooperation program.
