Two Bloomsday celebrations for Sidewalks of New York

It will be possible this weekend to catch not just one street event dedicated to Bloomsday, but two — one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

Ulysses’ bar on Stone Street will mark the 21st annual celebration of the novel of the same name. The “all-day fun starts at 11 a.m.” according to ulyssesnyc.com, but turning up at 1 p.m. should be time enough to enjoy emcee Colum McCann and star performer Aedin Moloney.

On Saturday, the Irish American Writers & Artists will once again partner with the James Joyce Society and Dive 106 Bar for its annual "Shout in the Street" Bloomsday celebration from 3 to 6 p.m., at the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 106th Street.
