New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli is hosting a "Commemoration of the Good Friday Agreement" on Tuesday evening, April 16 at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
Special guests and honorees will be Helena Nolan, Consul General of Ireland in New York, Michael J. Cusick, President & CEO, Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, and John Samuelsen, TWU International President.
Also expected to attend is Andree Murphy, Deputy Director of Relatives for Justice, who will speak on behalf of Ireland's Future
The Roosevelt House on East 65th Street was the New York home of President Franklin Roosevelt and his wife Eleanor Roosevelt from 1908 until 1933 when Franklin Roosevelt became president. In 1941, the Roosevelts sold the house to Hunter College for use as a student center. It is now home to the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College.
