ROUND THE HOUSE AND MIND THE DRESSER: They'll be kicking it up in St Paul next month

Kickin' It Irish in Twin Cities as St Patrick's fever builds

It's all hands on board at the Celtic Junction Arts Center in St Paul, MN where they are counting down to 11th season of 'Kickin' It Irish,' featuring nine shows from March 2 to St Patrick's Day.

Celebrated for its dynamic choreography by Cormac Ó Sé, an original Riverdance cast member, this performance is a tribute to Ireland’s rich cultural heritage. The show combines Irish music, step dance, and song for the perfect St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Tickets are priced from $25 to $30 and are available now on the centre website.

The show features an international ensemble led by accordionist Cormac Ó Sé, including guitarist Liam Slattery, uilleann piper Ryan Behnke, keyboardist Séan O'Brien, fiddler Mary Vanorny, and multi-instrumentalist Todd Menton. Fresh from her 2023 debut solo album, singer Adrienne O'Shea brings a captivating young voice that has become a cornerstone of the production.

The O'Shea Irish Dance School — under the tutelage of Center dynamo Natalie O'Shea — supplies the show with championship-level Irish step dancers, including regional, national, and world competitors.

Kickin’ It Irish makes its home in the music rooms and dance studios of the Celtic Junction Arts Center, a non-profit cultural center and performance venue located at 836 Prior Ave North in the Creative Enterprise Zone of St. Paul.
