Today we reveal the first ten young leaders who will feature on the famed Irish 40 under 40 listing in 2025.
Now in its 18th year, the Irish Echo's 40 under 40 spotlights the best and the brightest of Irish America's young guns from coast-to-coast.
The ten standout honorees have been chosen from almost 100 submitted nominations and represent a new generation of Irish leaders in the U.S. However, nominations remain open and can still be made online for the remaining 30 spaces.
Our top ten represent public service, campaign groups, cultural bodies, media, academia and small business. They are:
Aoife Stack, Trustee of the Con Edison Emerald Society, NY
Amanda Finnegan, Dance School Owner, FL
James Nolan, Westchester County Legislator, NY
Jilleen Barrett, Director of Marketing, Bronx Economic Development Corporation, NY
Emmet O'Sullivan, Diabetes Research Advocate, NY

The presentation of the Irish 40 under 40 medals will take place in the View at the Battery, New York, NY on 28 February 2025. Lead partner of the 2025 awards will be international fin-tech firm Options IT.
"This is our favorite event of the year," says Irish Echo editor Ray O'Hanlon. "Too often we hear lamenting about the state of Irish America but the talent, energy and generosity of the young leaders who feature on our annual list give us confidence that the future of the Irish in America is secure."
