Still Standing

Pic of Day: Hook Lighthouse in County Wexford, which is said to be the world’s oldest original operational lighthouse, just came through another of the many storms it has faced over the years, this one being Storm Ashley which blanketed Ireland on Sunday and left thousands without power, particularly in western counties. The lighthouse has been operating in one structure form or another for 800 years.
