Historic win as New York's GAA footballers advance in Connacht

New York’s footballers have won a first-round game in the Connacht football championship after more than 20 years of trying, thanks to a 2-0 penalty shootout victory over Leitrim at Gaelic Party on Saturday. The game ended at 15 points apiece following 20 minutes of extra time. Niall Madine and Mikey Brosnan then stepped up to get the home side's goals in the low-scoring shootout.
