Pic of Day: The Irish tricolor is raised to fly beside the Stars and Stripes at Bowling Green in Lower Manhattan today. The flag raising, organized by the Bowling Green Association, was the second annual such event and intended to commemorate the first ever St. Patrick's Day parade which took place in the vicinity back in 1762. Speakers at the flag raising included New York City Mayor Eric Adams, St. Patrick's Day Parade Grand Marshal Kevin Conway, Bowling Green Association chairman Arthur Piccolo, and NYC parade secretary and chairman of the St. Patrick's Day Foundation NYC Hilary Beirne.
