The Poor Mouth explained in  press release, “If you've never been to a ‘panto’ it's not pantomime in the quiet, mime sense. It's more  Benny Hill meets Walt Disney. That means songs and comedy as well as audience  participation. Cheer for the Heroes and boo the Villains, sing along to the songs and have  fun and laughs along the way. Bring the kids but we guarantee adults will enjoy this too!”

It continued, “Ariel, the little mermaid, has a thing for landlubber Prince Eric. She’s got it so bad that  against the wishes of her father King Triton she secretly makes a deal with the sea-witch  Ursula to become a human. Things don’t go quite as Ariel planned and she winds up in  real trouble.”

It is written and directed by Scott Kennedy; lights and sound by Don Creedon; costumes  and set design by Suzanne Hockstein, music direction by Kathryn Donnelly, Suzanne Hockstein, and Richard Hockstein with choreography by Courtney Murray. The cast features Corinne Delaney, Tucker Dally Johnston, Michelle Hendee, George Roach, Suzanne Hockstein, Kathryn Donnelly, Caitlin Seward, and Richard Hockstein.

The Poor Mouth Theatre Company was founded in March 2010 with a mission to bring  quality theatre to the Bronx and New York—the cafés, bars, community centers, church  halls and streets. “Just give us a corner and we’ll put on a show!” is the PMTC motto. The company produces original plays, hosts short-play festivals, brings its own productions of Broadway plays to local  stages and encourages readings.
