IFHF to discuss the Irish Brigade and the Battle of Gettysburg

The Battle of Gettysburg is up for discussion at the next gathering of the Irish Family History Forum, and specifically the Irish Brigade’s participation in it. Michael Fitzpatrick, president of the Irish Cultural Society of Garden City and president of the Nassau County Civil War Roundtable, will address the topic on Saturday morning, Oct. 28. at Bethpage Public Library, 47 Powell Ave., Bethpage, N.Y.

The event will begin with a meet at 10 a.m. with a meet and greet (light refreshments), which will be followed at 10:15 a. m. by “Ask the Experts,” a one-on-one session, and then the main presentation, with an introduction at 10:45 a.m. (Zoom access for IFHF members).
