Almost There

Pic of Day: Damian Browne is pictured on his boat "Cushlamachree" just one day out of Galway where he later received a hero's welcome after his 112-day transatlantic row from New York. Browne, a former top rugby player, adventurer, and keynote speaker, left Chelsea Piers in Manhattan on June 14. Browne, according to a report in the Galway Advertiser, is one of only a few individuals to have rowed the Atlantic both ways, having previously crossed from San Sebastian in Spain to Antigua in 2018. During his 112 days at sea, Browne, according to the Advertiser, kept followers updated on his journey via Instagram stories and through the Project Empower (www.projectempower.ie) podcast. Project Empower continues to fundraise for four charities: Madra, Galway Simon, National Rehab Hospital, and Ability West. Instagram photo.
