Sr. Marie Sorenson, SC, center, was honored as a 2021 Irish Echo Community Champion last evening at Rosie O'Grady's in Manhattan for her work as a team leader with St. John's Bread and Life mission in Bedford Stuyvesant, which during the pandemic has expanded its footprint in Brooklyn and Queens and was able to feed 240,000 families by distributing 4.2 million pounds of food and 1.7 million pounds of produce.
