Pic of Day: The rainy weather was perhaps appropriate. And it didn't deter those who gathered at the threatened Irish Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut Saturday for a "Salute" to the museum and its mission. The circumstances surrounding the museum's closure, and the fears for its collection, have prompted an investigation by the office of Connecticut's Attorney General and support from U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, who addressed the Salute attendees. Pictured is Salute organizer Turlough McConnell (second from left) and fellow supporters of a future for the museum and its collection.
