The 2nd Battalion of the Veterans Association of Ireland marched up Fifth Avenue in the New York Veterans Day Parade. Before marching, the Irish vets laid a wreath at the flagstaff memorial in Madison Square Park. The Irish marching unit consisted of members who served on United Nations missions around the world, and in the U.S. armed forces. Irish Echo photo.
