There’s much ado about medals being handed out in South Korea – Olympic ones. But George Mackey also received one from Korea in recent days, an Ambassador of Peace medal from the South Korean government. George served with the U.S. military in the Korean War and like many veterans is being lately recognized for their service by the government in Seoul. George is pictured receiving his medal from New York State Senator Terrence Murphy, who facilitated the long due recognition.
