New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli is hosting a tribute to the late Martin McGuinness Thursday evening at Hunter College in Manhattan.
The event coincides with the twentieth anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement and also the launch of the Martin McGuinness Equality Principles.
Emmet and Fiachra McGuinness, sons of Martin, are scheduled to attend the gathering at which Malachy McCourt is being billed as a special guest.
The tribute runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roosevelt House, home of Hunter College’s Public Policy Institute, located at 47-49 East 65th Street in Manhattan.
Roosevelt House was the New York home of President Franklin Roosevelt and his wife Eleanor Roosevelt from 1908 until 1933 when Franklin Roosevelt became President. In 1941, the Roosevelts sold the house to Hunter College.
