Happy St. Brigid’s Day

Today is St. Brigid’s Day, traditionally the first day of spring in the Celtic calendar. St. Brigid of Kildare is considered one of three Irish patron saints along with, of course, St. Patrick and St. Columba. The depiction in stained glass of St. Brigid, whose life spanned parts of the fifth and sixth centuries, can be seen at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Macon, Georgia.
