MEN’S HOOPS

Somehow the word got out. Ursinus rolled the dice in the D3hoops.com Classic, which was held in Las Vegas, and they came down on the wrong side of two verdicts. The Bears lost, 83-58, to Ramapo on Wednesday and to Skidmore, 67-46, on Friday. Cork freshman Jermaine Kamara kept things honest around the paint, pulling down a game-high 10 rebounds in the Ramapo loss and collecting nine caroms in the Skidmore defeat. He scored six points against Ramapo, shooting 2-for-5 from both the field and the foul line, followed by two points against Skidmore. Ursinus returned to Pennsylvania with a 3-9 record.

Elmira College freshman Neil Randolph put six points on the board in Thursday’s blowout loss to Trinity, 84-46, in Hartford, Conn. The Co. Wicklow resident nailed his only 3-point hoist and converted three of four free throws. The Soaring Eagles are struggling to find their wings with an 0-10 record thus far.

Shane Callaghan scored seven points in Southern Nazarene’s 80-58 victory over Dallas Christian in Bethany, Okla. on Thursday. Callaghan, a senior forward from Dublin, shot 3-for-4 from the field and 1-for-2 from the victim’s line. The Crimson Storm is now 9-3.
