The Thirteenth Annual Irish Festival at the Jersey Shore will be held this Saturday, Sept. 17, from at the Sea Girt National Guard Base. The event will take place rain or shine, say organizers.
The festival is sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 2 Monmouth County.
The festival will begin at 10 a.m. with a traditional Irish Mass dedicated to the memories of the Irish who lost their lives in the great potato famine, and to those who lost their lives on 9/11.
The festival will this year honor Rev. Daniel G. Cahill, Pastor of Saint Ann's Church in Keansburg, NJ.
