ST PATRICK'S ATHLETIC are still very much in the hunt after losing their opening Europa League qualifying first round match 1-0 away to Icelandic side IBV.
The only goal came from the penalty spot five minutes into the second half. St Pat's also went down 1-0 in their top of the table Airtricity League clash with Shamrock Rovers last Sunday.
A Gary Twigg goal in the 53rd minute was enough to put the Hoops back at the top of the table, just a point ahead of Pats, with Sligo Rovers a further point away in third spot.
Meanwhile, a Republic of Ireland international out of favor with manager Giovanni Trapattoni is hoping to reignite his career with a move to Nottingham Forest. No one doubts the 28-year-old Andy Reid's ability. The problem has been his fitness, or lack of it, on certain occasions.
